Anyone have any instructional painting or drawing dvds they want to get rid of?
Drawing with Pastel & Charcoal by Craig Nelson
Posted by duabevnh under Graphics & Design, Video Training
This Craig Nelson Drawing Video/DVD is great for anyone interested in drawing, if you want to improve your painting skills or just enjoy knocking out a quick sketch.
Craig Nelson, CAC, shows you how to block in preliminary shapes, achieve proper placement and proportion, and how to pick out and render elements for a convincing three-dimensional scene. You learn how to sequence your drawing for the best chance of success, where to look for the brightest lights, anticipate soft and hard edges, and how to take advantage of reflected light and bounced color.
Craig discusses and demonstrates the importance of using a variety of lines to make a drawing more interesting and contribute to the artistic qualities of the overall drawing. He helps you hone your observation skills and bring what you see back to your drawing (or painting). Working from photographs, Craig’s drawings come to life in a matter of minutes.
Craig Nelson taught drawing and painting at Art Center College of Design in LA from 1974 and at the San Francisco Academy of Art College since 1990 where he is now Director of Fine Art Painting Department.

Im not sure if your interested but I have a Bob Ross DVD that is so much fun to watch!! Watching him is like a drug or something. A lot of artists say he is crap and commercial but I completely disagree...Although I do not do work like his, I picked up some very interesting tips. Sure his paintings are done in 30 mins or so but he cares more about the world and his work so much and to me thats really the whole point of art....but thats just me.
Hey man so if you want it, its all yours, just let me know.

I can pay you for it dude. Let me know how much you want. I will PM you my address.
The stuff I have learned from this site is more than enough payment. I'm not taking any money for it. Do you have any old studies or old drawing you want to get rid of?? I would love to have one! Nothing complicated or anything, but an original duey would be amazing. If not, no problem.... regardless I'll send it out tomorrow before class!

I had dreams about painting last night from watching it. He makes everything look so easy too. That boggles my mind how he can whip out a 22"x30" painting in a few hours.
