For Sale Info

I thought it would be a good idea to start a "for sale" section here. I know I have some art materials that I could get rid of and I'm sure everyone else does too. This is the place to do it.

Does anyone else think that it would be good to sell artwork through this website?

I wouldn't think so. Its not my decision but I think it would make this forum/website a complete commercial business. People would be signing on just to try and sell their works. This is when artists start thinking about what would sell rather what they want to convey. Thats a sad thought and would hate to see it on this site.
Everyone I've seen on here so far seems to really care about their work, rather than simply making a profit off of them(which of course is a good thing too!). There are so many other sites that focus on selling art, I think we should leave it to them. Selling supplies and such seems like a great idea to me though. I might buy some if anyone posted here.

Great point. Yeah, I'd like to keep this place open for people that are passionate about their work rather than people that are doing it for profit. Like you said there are lots of other sites that you can sell your work on.
