Been developing my personal site - any suggestions?

It is wordpress based. I used a simple theme that I would like to spice up, but at the same time I feel that keeping it simple allows the focus to be on the artwork.

I am pleased so far with the way Google is picking up the artwork and some of the pieces. Currently I'm #1 in Google's image results when you search the phrase 'oil pastel flowers' - pretty cool right?

I'm not sure I like what's going on in the right sidebar. Seems jumbled up, but all the elements I want to keep are there at least.

Suggestions? Comments anyone?

hey thats great! When I start graduate school for my MFA, I plan to start a website. I think its looking good so far. Web hosting can get a bit pricy though!

Thanks Mark.. if you're looking for a decent host I recommend Total Choice Hosting. Been with them for 4-5 years now. Never had a problem, support is very helpful and timely.

That's a great looking site Eric - lots of good content.
Though it's a personal thing - I don't like "Blog" style layouts.
I find them a pain to navigate through and I usually lose interest before looking at everything.
I'd rather have a main page with a menu .. no scrolling.

I agree with you on that. I bet its pretty hard to set up a good layout for an original website, although there are a lot of good programs out that do it for you.
