My very first pastel picture: A tigers eye

Not much more to say. It's my first pastel at all, I only used pencil and half a dozen times coloured pencils so far. It was an experiment, because I saw cheap pastels in a supermarket when I was buying food there...

Well... I think I better stick to pencil drawing. No comment says "you'd better do something else!"

I like your picture very much. I think its very realistic. I tried using pastel once but my pics wasnt so good. You should do more pics with pastel!!! And then post here to show, I would like to see others too.

No comments on this forum these days really says more about the forum than your artwork. It's even hard to get comments in the drawing section now... good luck in pastels or paintings!

I agree with akera89, it's a great drawing and especially for a first attempt at pastels. Working with a new medium is always a challenge. If I were you I'd definitely try more drawings with pastels, it's a learning process so I'm sure you could see great improvement in future works. You've got a great start here and this is a drawing you can definitely be proud of.

Just kidding.. I was too busy to do any drawing or painting lately anyway.
Good to hear that this attempt wasnt as bad as I thought it was. The longer I looked at it the more I felt uncomfy with it. Maybe it was just because it wasn't my common medium, I don't know.
