Searching for Enlightenment

Greetings, it is I, sneaky squirrel, a feeble creature that wants to learn how to draw.

All the people I have met say I am very skilled at drawing, but only I can see the flaws in my work and cannot go beyond it, so I search for help in this forum in order to become a true artist .

I am guessing there are quite a few skilled ones reading this thread so I'd like you to tell me where I can improve on these recent drawings of mine to give me an idea on what I should work on.

These are my "Artistically detailed" works, but I also have another drawing style which is more on the cartoonish side.

Shading would be nice... it's hard to tell what's going on in your drawings because it's just a huge mess of lines.
